HOW TO APPLY
FOR A PLACE
We welcome applications at all points of the school year.
Before applying for you place, please make sure you have read the following documents:
To apply for a place at BSS we require the following Admissions form to be completed:
In addition, please send us the following information:
- Copy of child’s passport
- Copy of child’s Oman Resident Card
- Recent passport style photograph of child
- Latest school report if applicable
- Copy of parents’ passport
- Copy of parents’ Oman Resident Card

Oman Resident Cards
An Oman Resident Card is not required to apply to BSS, however, if your application is successful, you will need to submit copies of a valid Oman Resident Card for the applicant and their parents to our Admissions Department prior to starting at school. This is a requirement from Oman’s Ministry of Education. In exceptional circumstances BSS may be able to grant families an extra month from their start date to provide a copy of the Resident Cards to school.
British School Salalah reserves the right to withdraw the offer of a place if the applicant or their parents are not in possession of an Oman Resident Card prior to starting at British School Salalah.
AFTER WE RECEIVE YOUR
APPLICATION
When we receive your application, we assess if a space is available for your preferred start date. If no space is available, we will place your child on our waiting list. We will notify you by email of the status of your application within 5 working days.
Once a space is available for your child, you will be asked to pay an Admissions Fee to hold the space.
Your child will be assessed to ensure they meet our entry criteria. Please refer to the Entry Requirements below or in our Admissions Policy for further details. All children admitted to BSS should have a good level of English.
