I am delighted to welcome you to British School Salalah, a vibrant learning community with a culture of wellbeing and excellence. At our school, each individual is valued in a nurturing environment that supports academic, emotional, and social growth.

We are dedicated to excellence in education, offering a rigorous British curriculum and a wide range of co-curricular activities to ensure that our students have the opportunity to excel in their areas of interest. Our goal is to prepare them for success in their future endeavours and to become lifelong learners.

We strongly believe in the power of community and the importance of collaborative partnerships. We encourage the active involvement of parents and the wider community in the education of our students, as we recognise that a strong community plays a vital role in the overall development of our learners.

Our Royal Charter has enabled us to successfully deliver a British education for over 50 years. As a not-for-profit school, all decisions made have the students’ best interests at the centre.

Standards of attainment are high in both the Primary and Senior school. BSS’s growing international reputation for excellence and innovation helps us to attract, retain and develop high quality UK trained teachers who are proud to work with our engaged, motivated and high achieving pupils.

To prepare our pupils for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead we value learning that focuses on high performance in public examinations, healthy living and well-being, character development and global citizenship. We call this approach the BSS Learning Ethos and it underpins learning and teaching throughout our school.

Beyond the classroom, life at British School Salalah is exciting and fulfilling. Our many and varied enrichment programme offers children the chance to further their interests and gain confidence in where their passions lie. To this end, pupils have the opportunity to pursue and explore their individual talents and interests through a wide range of recreational sports and creative arts activities.
